Every year, the Daffodil Parade takes place on Sunday, alternating between Altaussee, Bad Aussee, and Grundlsee. In 2025, the festival Sunday will take place in Altaussee. The impressive daffodil figures can be admired all day: in the morning in the town and in the afternoon during the boat parade on Lake Altaussee.
Admission Tickets
Admission tickets (day tickets for Sunday / €19) are available at the entrances and throughout the festival grounds. A free information flyer with an overview map is also available at the entrances. Admission is free for children and young people up to the age of 15.
Program and Schedule
The festival grounds in Altaussee are open to visitors from 9 a.m. The daffodil figures are distributed throughout the town. At noon, the figures are then loaded onto the lake. Starting at 2 p.m., the daffodil figures will swing across the lake, moving from the Kahlseneck snack bar past the Hotel am See, the Madlmaier Lake Lounge, the Hotel Seevilla, and finally to the Strandcafé restaurant. The announcement of the award-winning figures at 3 p.m. will mark the grand finale of the Daffodil Festival. This will take place at the Walter Munk Park speaker's office.
Music, Culinary Delights & Attractions for Children
Traditional folk music groups and brass bands will provide a lively atmosphere throughout the festival grounds. There will also be many stalls selling regional delicacies around the magnificent daffodil figures. Local restaurants and inns will also welcome you on this day. A bouncy castle will provide entertainment for the children, and the street performers and magicians from the Magic Ring Austria will enchant and delight young and old.
Restroom Facilities
Restroom facilities and stations staffed by Red Cross personnel can be found throughout the event grounds. The exact positions can be found in the information flyer that you will receive upon entering the festival grounds.
